We understand we're part of a much larger community and that we have a responsibility to be good stewards of the environment. Doing so benefits everyone in many ways - better health, prettier scenery, cleaner water, enduring resources. To that end, we've set aside 36 percent of our community for permanent conservation, including a an environmental park and stocked lake, wetlands, 18 Mile Creek, 62 acres of open space - even a beautiful sunny spot for a community garden. It's all part of our commitment to tread lightly on the environment and leave the smallest carbon footprint possible. And that is part of our own legacy.

We're also doing our part to help reduce carbon emissions by hosting a bus stop that connects the Town Square to surrounding cities and Clemson University, and to Amtrak's Crescent route from New Orleans to New York through Clemson. The community's layout of easy biking and walking trails also helps the environment by reducing the need for auto travel.

We've made other commitments, as well, including assuring that every home in the community is EarthCraft House-certified and includes fiber-to-the-home technology.
